The Cascade Symphony Orchestra is committed to supporting music education in our community. As part of this mission:
- The symphony awards annual scholarships to graduating high school seniors who have shown musical promise.
- Our annual children’s concert includes “a rising star,” a young musician from the community who has auditioned for a chance to play with the orchestra.
- The orchestra board has voted to donate $1,000 to the Edmonds Schools summer music program every year since 2012.
Rising Star Competition
Each year, the Cascade Symphony Orchestra will select a young musician to perform as soloist with the orchestra at its annual February Children’s Concert.

Scholarship
Cascade Symphony will award scholarships of $2,000 to $3,000 to qualified high school seniors from the Edmonds, Mukilteo, Northshore and Shoreline school districts.
